Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods

Chocolate dipped pretzel rods are one of my favorite go-to party snacks! They are the perfect sweet and salty treat and are always a crowd pleaser! Plus, they are super easy to make and can easily be customized to the theme of your event!

the everyday hostess chocolate dipped pretzel rods

Milk chocolate dipped pretzels with white chocolate drizzled on top is always a classic, but with a little bit of food coloring and sprinkles, the options are endless! I always love experimenting with dyeing the white chocolate bright colors (think light pink for a princess party, green for tailgates, or red for Christmas) and adding coordinating colored sprinkles to make this sweet treat extra festive!

Whip up a batch of these chocolate dipped pretzel rods for your next event, and I promise they will be the talk of the town!

When most people think about Valentine’s Day they think about lots of sweet treats, candy, and beautiful flowers and roses! If you want all that Valentine-y greatness packed into one exquisite recipe, this is the post for you!

I present to you the Apple Rose Tart!

They’re little roses, they’re scrumptiously sweet, and I just so happen to LOVE them! It’s got everything you could possibly want this time of year. (And every other time of the year, but let’s stay topical here).

This complex-looking Valentine’s Day game-changer is actually pretty simple to make — as if you needed another reason to fall in love with them! Plus the fresh apples makes you feel like your holiday treat is a litttttle bit healthier 😉

Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake

the-everyday-hostess-0083

This Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake is one of the most refreshing and decadent cheesecakes I’ve ever had. I am a huge cheesecake lover, but this one tops the charts! The lemon flavored cheesecake is topped with fresh raspberries and drizzled with a lemon raspberry glaze that’s just to die for. The freshness of the lemon flavoring and the raspberries almost makes it taste (do I dare say?) healthy! It’s definitely not healthy, but the raspberries on top makes me feel a little bit better! 🙂

It’s absolutely perfect for a sweet addition to a springtime brunch or after dinner dessert. And if you are hosting a Valentine’s day brunch or making a romantic meal at home, this is the perfect festive dessert to serve to your honey! I can guarantee you that this will be making an appearance at our Valentine’s Day festivities this year! Plus it is pretty simple to make and just looks absolutely GORGEOUS and so professional that people will be “oohing and ahhing” all day long! Keep Reading!

Cinnamon-filled King Cake

the-everyday-hostess-0107

With Mardi Gras right around the corner, it’s time to bring out all of our favorite Creole and Cajun recipes! Of course, my favorite dish at any party is dessert, so my mind goes straight to a traditional King Cake, which is the perfect way to top off any Mardi Gras celebration!

This coffee-cake like confection is a popular custom and is adorned in purple, green, and gold sprinkles and shaped like a ring. Traditionally, the King Cake started off as a simple ring of dough, but has since evolved to include a variety of different fillings. Each cake has a tiny plastic or porcelain baby hidden inside and the person who gets the slice with the baby in it hosts the next party! Of course, I am always scoping out the cake looking for the baby! Any excuse to host a party is always welcome! Keep Reading!

Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Flatbread

Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Flatbread Bites - The Everyday Hostess

A good ol’ fashioned apple crisp always makes for a perfect holiday dessert. It is festive, warm, and when served with your favorite vanilla bean ice cream, it’s the perfect comforting treat!

I have been trying to find a convenient and easy way to serve apple crisp at holiday parties; however, unless you are hosting a sit down meal, it’s hard for people to eat it while mixing and mingling.

I’ve tried serving it on small plates, bowls, and even shot glasses like I do for tomato soup; however, that was still messy. I started playing around with some different options, and came up with the perfect solution!

Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Flatbread - The Everyday Hostess

Salted Caramel Apple Crisp Flatbread! By combining the apple crisp with this fresh and delicious naan from Stonefire, you can cut it into bite size pieces that guests can easily place on a napkin and continue snacking and visiting! The perfect spin on a traditional dish! Keep Reading!
