Tablesetting with candles

Family, food, friends and football… This is what truly creates a perfect Thanksgiving!

So, of course, they were all featured in this year’s wonderful Friendsgiving party — which also happened to be festive, fabulous and FUN! 🙂 I hosted a group of friends for a potluck dinner, so they came with some tasty Thanksgiving bites and libations. But, every hostess has a few delicious ideas in mind for her dinners, so I had a small menu laid out in addition to what my guests brought to the table!

Mashed Potatoes || Spiced Apple Cider Cocktail

The fall festivities wouldn’t have been complete without the gorgeous farm table, chairs and place settings provided by my friends at Celebration Event Rental. The silvers, golds and coppers were complemented perfectly by the rich-colored woods in the table and my homemade centerpiece … Swoon. Seriously, y’all.

Full Table LayoutWhen designing a tablescape, it is always important to start with a theme or style that you want to carry throughout the entire design. Then pick 1 to 2 primary colors and 1-2 secondary colors that you want to bring out in your tablescapes. Celebration Event Rental worked with me to pull together this beautiful rustic-glam (yes, I’m making that a thing!) setting for the Friendsgiving fare. They had me with the pearl-rimmed chargers, but all the other details of the set were wonderful, too! The dark woods, pine-cones, and evergreen tree branches helped create a rustic feel, while the metallics brought in that sense of glam. All of the decor came together absolutely perfectly, and I could not have been happier!

To top off the Fall colors and flavorful fixings, we had the Cowboys on for a Sunday Night Football game — the perfect finishing touch for the guys on the guest list!

What are your favorite ways to decorate for Thanksgiving?  We don’t get much a true autumn here in Texas, so I’d love to see photos from your fall festivities 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Hosting!
